Alpina teases 410-HP B3 Bi-Turbo ahead of Geneva Motor Show Debut

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo

When you hear the word Alpina you automatically think BMW as they have been an independent BMW manufacturer for decades.  Today Alpina has given us a sneak peak of the upcoming 410-hp 2013 B3 Bi-Turbo and we’ve got some details for you.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, the Alpina B3 is based off of the newest BMW F30 3-series sedan.   Under the hood Alpina has beefed up the standard bi-turbo N55 engine that comes on the 335i and has upped the horsepower rating to 410-hp from the standard 300-hp and is coupled to an 8-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox built by ZF.

The B3 will do 0-60mph in just 4 seconds which makes it a full second faster than the outgoing 335i model.  It will also do 29-mpg average which is pretty impressive for a car that puts down this much power.

On the exterior the B3 gets a series of body enhancements as to which we will have more information on once Alpina officially reveals the car.  Should be before the Geneva Motor Show.  You know we’ll forward all the little details to you once we get it!

Alpina has not yet announced if the B3 will make it to the US but it seems unlikely for the time being.
