Focus ST Unveiled With SHELBY Package

Didn’t see this coming did you?  Shelby has officially hopped on the Ford Focus ST bandwagon by unveiling their all new “Shelby” Package for the Ford Focus ST in Detroit today.

So how much horsepower does it add? Unfortunately none as the “Shelby” Focus St will retain the stock ST power figures which are 252-hp.  There will however be an additional option offered by Shelby that will bump horsepower to over 300-hp.  More on that later.

Shelby adds Ford Racing suspension components and bigger brakes with cross-drilled rotors, all finished off with a Borla exhaust system incorporating larger, circular outlets.  On the exterior “Shelby” will add body components including a rear hatch spoiler and hood vents.  Te wheels have also been upgraded, wider and bigger is the name of the game.

All of these upgrades will cost $14,995 over the regular price of an ST.  Let’s do some basic math,  The base ST goes for $23,700, add another $14,995 and you’ve just paid $38,695 for your Focus ST.  Worth it? Well, if you want an exclusive 1 of 500 then maybe.  Otherwise, you might just pick up an STI or EVO and call it a day.
